Original  Prints by Carole King

All featured prints have been produced using  traditional  printmaking methods. Each is individually  numbered and signed in small editions.

Printmaking workshops , using simple techniques can be brought to you or your art group, using our portable press- please email for further details

Silkscreen Prints (Serigraphs) use layers of opaque and transparent inks, printed through paper or photographically created stencils.

Collagraphs are printed from relief blocks Textures created from paper and textiles and lines incised and cut into the card blocks are printed using intaglio techniques on an etching press. Furter layers can be introduced using chine colle.

Intersection 1 is a collagraph created as part of an ongoing series of prints exploring the coast and waterways of Pembrokeshire. They incorporate symbols and mark making associated with mapping and field patterns.

Hafod Sentinel
Aberystwyth Printmakers  collaborated with Ceredigion Museum to create an exhibition of contemporary prints inspired by the Hafod estate, which was shown alongside the original prints created to depict the magnificent scenery and viewpoints of the estate in its heyday.

Carborundum prints use carborundum powder to create a textured surface that holds ink.
They produce  particularly rich, velvety  areas of colour when printed.
